The Toddler Snack Attack Phase

From the time I wake up, till the time I go to bed. Everything is SNACK…

Let’s make breakfast “No, Snack.”

Are you ready for lunch? “No Snack.”

Dinner is ready. “NOOOOOO SNACK!!!!”

I have completely accepted the fact that just picking at food is fine… Did He eat 3 small pieces of chicken? “Yes! Win of the day!” Did he eat chips, veggie straws, an orange, a cucumber, a snack pouch, teddy grahams, crackers, cheese, and through all those on repeat all day? Yes, yes he did… I have learned to take the small wins where I can get them. The terrible twos are a thing, at least for my kid and this it not the hill I am going to die on with him. Does he eat some other food outside what I listed yes but it is hit or miss.

It’s amazing how different two of your own kids can be. My daughter didn’t have the snack phase or the terrible twos but she had the terrible threes that turned into the terrible fours and has continued to the terrible fives. I would love to know when that phase will end but I’m all about setting my bar low so we will see if it happens at six. What type of toddler do you have? A terrible two? An aggressive Snacker or Both?
